eine Modifizierung des bodennahen Klimas bewirken. Der Sonderbericht des
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change zu Flugverkehr (1999) besagt, dass
die erw&auml;rmende Wirkung der Kondensstreifen im globalen Mittel mindeste=
ns
genauso gro&szlig; ist wie die des Kohlendioxids - dem prominentesten
Emissionsbestandteil der Flugzeugabgase.</span></b><span lang=3DDE
style=3D'mso-ansi-language:DE'> <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><b><span lang=3DDE style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana;mso-ans=
i-language:
DE'>Wissenschaftler der University of Wisconsin unter Leitung von D. Travis
nutzten den Flugstopp vom 11. - 13. September 2001 in den USA zu einer <i>M=
essung</i>
der Auswirkungen von Kondensstreifen. Eindeutig konnte ein Effekt festgeste=
llt
werden: Ohne Kondensstreifenbedeckung ist die t&auml;gliche Temperaturspann=
e 1
Grad h&ouml;her als im 30-j&auml;hrigen Mittel von 1971 - 2000. Nachts tritt
wegen der Kondensstreifen eine geringere Abk&uuml;hlung ein, tags&uuml;ber =
eine
verminderte Aufheizung. Dieser Wert von 1 Grad gilt im r&auml;umlichen Mitt=
el.
Es konnte zudem gezeigt werden, dass in den Regionen, in denen deutlich mehr
Kondensstreifen auftreten, die gr&ouml;&szlig;te &Auml;nderung der
t&auml;glichen Temperaturspanne festzustellen ist.</span></b><span lang=3DDE

Jahr von 1971-2001 die Unterschiede zwischen der t&auml;glichen
Temperaturspanne vom 11.-13.9. zu den angrenzenden dreit&auml;gigen Abschni=

verglichen. Obwohl demnach auch in anderen Jahren vom 11.-13.9.
gr&ouml;&szlig;ere Temperaturspannen auftraten, ist keine von diesen so
gro&szlig; wie die im Jahr 2001: Einzig der Anstieg 2001 (1,8&deg;C), liegt=
 in
den 31 Jahren 2 Standard-Abweichungen (1 StA=3D0,9&deg;C) vom Durchschnitts=
wert
entfernt - sowohl in positiver wie in negativer Richtung. Dies legt nahe, d=
ass
vom 11.-13.9.2001 andere Faktoren als Ver&auml;nderungen in den Luftmassen =
zu
diesem Anstieg der t&auml;glichen Temperaturspanne beigetragen haben. Es so=
llte
erw&auml;hnt werden, dass diese Analyse f&uuml;r die gesamte kontinentale U=
SA
angestellt wurde, ohne besonderes Gewicht auf die [Wetter-]Stationen zu leg=
en,
die in Gebieten liegen, in denen Kondensstreifen besonders h&auml;ufig
auftreten. Daher werden die Unterschiede in der t&auml;glichen Temperatursp=
anne
zwischen dem Klimamittel und 2001, wie sie hier gezeigt wurden, die
Gr&ouml;&szlig;e der Temperaturunterschiede, die in den &quot;bevorzugten&q=
uot;
Regionen (z.B. im Mittleren Westen der USA) auftreten, eher untersch&auml;t=
zen.</span><span
